However, it also gets old and can no longer be trialled in Schutzhund or IPO without danger to the dog’s health due to the physical demands, after say about 7 years of age. In KUSA, there are other dogsport disciplines that make it possible for you to enjoy your dog and his talents as long as he can still get around:

• Obedience
• Carting
• ITT (tracking only discipline) in ITT1, ITT2, ITT3, ITT4, ITT5.

You do not have to abandon the dog you have trained for half a decade in IPO or  Schutzhund, just because he is getting on. On the overall side, the KUSA can of course offer IPO and Schutzhund. IPO which is almost identical to Schutzhund has the added advantage that one can achieve CACIT awards in certain IPO shows accredited by the FCI. A CACIT is an International working Championship Challenge Certificate and if you get the required combination your dog can become an International Working Champion. Also, KUSA offers a range of Classic Working Trial disciplines classes:

• CD(Companion Dog)
• TD1(Trackerdog 1)
• TD2(Trackerdog 2)
• TD3(Trackerdog 3) And of course the ultimate
• PD(PoliceDog trial)

Other sports available are:

• Obedience in classes are:
• Special Beginners,Beginners,Novice, A Test, B Test, C Test.

There is so much on offer that if you have a dog of almost any ability, there will be some sport you and he can have fun with. On the breed side, KUSA offers the ability to enter both specialist shows and all breed shows. In any event, it is possible with a good conformation dog, to achieve the title of KUSA Breed Champion. If you go further and enter the FCI type shows (which includes critiques and gradings) you can achieve CACIB awards( these are international conformation[beauty]championship certificates ).
